Old and broken playground equipment could spell trouble for local elementary schools
When looking for a new place to live, parents and potential parents alike judge their possible new neighborhoods based on comprehensive predetermined criteria. Near the top of everyone’s list is the condition and reputation of the closest elementary school. Education in general is a major concern for anyone raising children, but kindergarten and grade school are especially important because such a large percentage of a child’s formative years is spent at school. It’s nice to have the huge piece of property and corner lot at the end of a quiet cul de sac, but most every parent will agree that a big and pretty house is worthless if it isn’t in a decent school district. It isn’t uncommon for future residents to visit local school and maybe even meet with the teachers and faculty that would possibly be instructing and interacting with their kids. If you can tell a lot about a community by their school then can’t you tell a lot about a school by the condition of their Playground Equipment?
It is natural to want the best for your kids and is not unreasonable to purchase real estate partly because of its proximity to a good school. Meeting with the staff is a great way to get a feel for the education system in any town as well as give you the opportunity to inspect the facilities without appearing creepy or hostile. (Try explaining to the security guard why you needed to use both the little boys room and the little girls room; no paper towels might work but why risk it?). Fresh paint and new carpet are aesthetically pleasing but you want to get to the nuts and bolts of the operation. Visit the school sometime after lunch that way you can check out their Playground Equipment while it’s not crowded and you can actually get a good look up close and personal. Check for anything hazardous like exposed screws or splintered wood. If the jungle gym is in disrepair then chances are the classrooms and restrooms are in need of some TLC as well.

The first Jungle Gym was nothing more than a free-standing coordinate graph
The person credited with the invention of the huge climbing frames that are the main attraction at most every public park today had a much loftier goal in mind than simple fun and games. The idea was to give children an opportunity to grasp the concept of three dimensional space with a larger than life example. There was even a game to go along with the huge metal grids that used the letters X, Y and Z as reference points much like coordinate plane used to high level mathematics. Gigantic metal cubes no longer satisfy the most accepted definitions of Jungle Gyms, and probably would not meet your local safety standards, but originally these structures were just as much meant to be a tool for learning as they were to be a facilitator of entertainment. Injury was not a serious concern at first because the children were not leaping back and forth and climbing spastically among a horde of laughing classmates. Instead they were standing rather quietly awaiting commands from the instructor. The transformation of Jungle Gyms from a math tutor to babysitter has created all the need for redundant safety precautions and the addition of colorful entertainment features.
Exercise is good for children. It is a healthy activity that can be made much more fun by introducing a Jungle Gym into the daily routine. During recess, young students get a chance to run, shout and play in between the intense academic lessons and the sophisticated playground equipment allows them to do so without completely shutting off their brain. They need to negotiate distance and height and other spatial equations quickly as well as learn to take turns and share with their peers. The problem is that some adults leave their children to the play yard for hours and hours hoping to keep them occupied with minimal supervision. A fort equipped with a slide and a rope ladder will keep your kids busy for the better part of an afternoon, but it will not teach them arithmetic, reading, or manners for that matter.

Simple money saving tips for buying daycare supplies
The economy is hurting right now and the value of money-saving tips is at an all time high, even if the dollar isn’t worth all that much. The government is printing more paper monies as if an infusion of currency will help ease any of the financial troubles running rampant across the country. Extra money is not really extra at all if the value of the dollar continues to drop like it is. Family budgets are just as whacked at state and federal budgets are. Banks are failing left and right so it is not an easy task to get approved for a personal loan these days. So once all the money is spent then what? All we can do is try to make our money stretch by making smart decisions and working together to help ease one another’s burdens.
Many hard working parents spend a lot of money on day care and in turn, the day care facilities are spending a lot of money on their kids. There are ways to save money on Daycare Supplies and they are a lot easier than one might think. An easy way to start saving is to buy in bulk. The obvious items are cleaning supplies and non-perishable food like canned goods. Even larger things like tables, chairs and playground equipment can be purchased in larger quantities at a cheaper price if multiple facilities can coordinate their orders. Parents and local businesses may be willing to donate toys, games, furniture etc. and may have planned on throwing some stuff out or taking it to the salvation army. Consignment stores, however, can be a great resource for Daycare Supplies. You could easily trade in used items for different supplies that may not be brand new, but they will certainly be new to the children. Take advantage of back to school discounts as well as garage sales. You never what great deals might be waiting for you until you look.

Looking at the pros and cons of different materials for playground equipment
Which is better: metal or wood? This is a common question asked by those shopping for Commercial Playground Equipment. Unfortunately, this is not a simple yes-no, either-or situation. There are many variables to consider when making the choice between wood or metal play sets, but there a few simple questions you can ask yourself that may make the decision a little bit easier. 1) Where will you be installing the play sets? Certain locations make it difficult to choose metal equipment for aesthetic reasons. If you plan to install the piece at your house or a small neighborhood in a rural community then wood is probably the better choice for a more natural and less obvious appearance. Other residents, especially those without children, could be bothered by the presence of a metal jungle gym and how it disrupts the pastoral surroundings. 2) Who will be in charge of maintenance and how often will the equipment be serviced and possibly upgraded? With proper maintenance, a metal swing set can last longer than its wooden counterpart, which can deteriorate relatively quickly even when adequately treated and weather proofed. Metal sets need to be checked regularly for rust and inspected often for loose bolts or protruding screws. The frequency with which Commercial Playground Equipment will be serviced should be influential when deciding which material should be used.
Even the most comprehensive warranty will not do you any good if you do not take the time to maintain the equipment. Some warranties contain a clause that will void coverage should the set not be properly maintained. Injuries can happen in an instant but regular service can help avoid many accidents and help your playground equipment last as long as possible. No matter what materials are chosen, be sure to consult with the manufacturer to determine the best to keep the play equipment in good working condition to prevent safety hazards.

Baby Swings make great baby shower gifts for the little ones to grow into
It can be quite a difficult task choosing the right gift for a friend’s baby shower. Expectations are high and the selection is just so overwhelming it seems that there are so many ways to go wrong. I know that that mother to be is supposed to be the star of the show and gifts are generally cute and pretty sentimental in nature, but why not get something practical that the baby and mother can use together? A Baby Swing may not be the most traditional gift for a shower and they might not get much use out of it right away depending on the type you decide to get them, but it will prove to be very useful and enjoyable for the baby and maybe for mother as well.
Cradle swings and baby jumpers are geared toward infants and are primarily used in the home. These items provide perpetual motion that is soothing to the child and cuts down on the time he or she wants to be held and cuddled. Once the baby reaches the toddler stage then they can graduate to a free standing Baby Swing that require an adult to gently push them back and forth. Since they are still in the developmental stages as far as balance and coordination, Baby Swings are equipped with a safety harness that keeps the child in place and prevents them from falling off the swing. Even though they are incapable of pumping their legs, babies enjoy the swinging sensation and are happy as dogs riding in the car to feel the wind on their little faces. Yes, the expecting mother would probably be thrilled if you bought her the latest model diaper genie, but something a little more useful and exciting for the baby it in order. A trashcan with a closable lid should hold all the dirty diapers just fine. A Baby Swing will provide hours of joyful entertainment as well as save your arms and your nerves.

Fun and Safe Playground Equipment
Those of us whose elementary school careers came to a close in the late 80s and early 90s remember the old school Playground Equipment that towered at the center of most community parks and grade school recreation yards. We affectionately referred to them as jungle gyms and with good reason: playing on or around these hazardous contraptions was almost as dangerous as venturing out into a jungle or rainforest. Looking back, I wonder whether or not the safety of us children was on anyone’s mind at the time of construction. Sharp edges, splintered wooden framework, rusted metal parts, dangerous loose-hanging ropes, and weathered tire parts that no doubt saw thousands of highway miles before being retired to our jungle gym. These are just a few of the hazards that I saw which no doubt led to much needed upgrades and safety improvements. After a couple major injuries sustained by thrill seeking boys, I can remember the yellow caution tape that surrounded our two and a half story jungle gym until it was torn down later than spring.
Playground Equipment is much safer today, with better building materials and stricter safety regulations that ensure maximum safety, long life and minimum maintenance. All play sets are professionally crafted with galvanized hardware recessed in wood and covered with plastic caps to ensure a sturdy and most importantly safe piece of recreational equipment. Whether the Playground Equipment is going to be used in a park, school, daycare, church or even in your very own back yard, it is important that the highest quality building materials are used and that all safety precautions are taken prior to, during and after installation so that no injuries will occur. Safety is always the number one concern when considering which equipment to buy so make sure all the research is done and all proper considerations are made before any purchases. The pretty colors and exciting activities are not going to do anyone any good if it poses a serious threat to the safety of those who are going to be using it.

Many after school facilities are in need of Daycare Supplies
2009 is here and everyone is hoping for, looking for and expecting change. It is a wonderful feeling to have a positive outlook on the future. The sun seems to shine a little bit brighter, the air smells fresh like just after a good heavy rain, and almost everyone you pass on the streets has a smile or gives a nod. The reality of the situation is that nothing is going to get better unless everyone makes an effort. There is only so much one man or woman can do. One wealthy individual can open a school. And it only requires a dedicated few to keep its doors open and its lights on. But in order for that school to educate the masses and make a difference in peoples’ lives, all the students must attend regularly, be prepared with the proper supplies and willingness and have the support of a caring family. What would an after school program be with all the necessary Daycare Supplies? Boring and not very successful. The enrollment fee would be a bargain, but without food, entertainment, supervision, and all the accoutrement you would have nothing but table and chairs.
Even if you do not have children I am sure you can appreciate the need for effective daycare facilities and after school programs. Not only do these places provide a positive alternative to unhealthy, unsupervised boredom-induced shenanigans that most kids are likely to get into between whenever school lets out and the average working parent gets home from work (especially after dealing with Los Angeles traffic). Consider donating money and/or Daycare Supplies to your local daycare center. It could ultimately be cheaper than repairing the damage done to your house caused by the neighbors’ kids who happened to be left under the care of an incompetent teenager. If the daycare had been properly run and adequately funded in the first place, then none of this would have ever happened.

Organizing Daycare Supplies can be easy and fun
Clean up, clean up everybody everywhere. A certain furry purple dinosaur coined a catchy clean up mantra that was meant to make cleaning up after oneself a fun thing to do as well as a group activity that all children could complete with the help of their friends. It is no secret that children enjoy making messes much more than they do cleaning them up. Trying to make a game out of it is one way to make organizing Daycare Supplies a relatively painless affair. It is difficult to instill a sense of personal responsibility in young children that can barely tie their own shoelaces much less make them understand a sense of pride that comes from keeping a neat and tidy environment. Sometimes the best one can hope for is a vomit-free and excrement-free playground or classroom.
First things first: it is absolutely necessary to begin the day with a clean and organized room. If all the Daycare Supplies are strewn about from the get go, how can one ever expect the children to know where anything is supposed to be kept? It is a good idea to schedule cleaning time into the daily agenda. If playtime or recess is scheduled from 10:00 to 10:30, then make sure 10:30 to 10:40 is clean up time. Or maybe just blow the whistle a few minutes early so there is plenty of time to return all of the play items to their rightful location. Labeling certain key items with color-coded symbols is another idea to help with organization of Daycare Supplies. The blue toys go in the blue box and red toys go in the red box, etc. Positive reinforcement is one of the oldest and most consistent methods for getting small children to do mundane and unexciting tasks like cleaning up. The first 5 kids to return all their toys and throw away all their trash gets to choose the movie we watch or gets first pick at snack table. Little motivational tools like that will always kick their cleaning motors into high gear.

Cheap Tire Swings – low cost outdoor fun
Those of us who were raised in the city are not necessarily acquainted with the simple pleasures enjoyed by country dwellers whose next door neighbors are down the road, around the bend and beyond the sycamore tree. We may not know what it is like to witness the seasons change and leaves fall, but there is a common experience that unites us all no matter what our land looks like: the need for our dollars to stretch further than they currently do and the ability to find inexpensive ways to entertain ourselves. Even if a household is lucky enough to have some extra income, it is better that money be saved or invested rather than spent frivolously on unnecessary playground equipment. Families that live in rural areas with plenty of land at their disposal have the advantage of being able to use nature as part of their entertainment. I am picturing a backyard that drifts beyond the horizon, a few stray farm animals running about, and a huge oak tree nestled beside a babbling brook. Sure it sounds picturesque and all, straight from ‘Little House on the Prairie’, but as far as entertainment goes it is actually quite practical. All you need is a Cheap Tire Swing and you are ready to go!
It is such a simple concept: tie a rope around an old tire and hang it from the sturdiest branch of the biggest tree around. Mention the words playground equipment or jungle gym and all of the sudden the prices go up exponentially, then comes the delivery fee and the extra charge for assembly. After all that, the kids still must wait a week for the concrete to dry before they can enjoy the any of the equipment. Keep it simple! Year after year, parents spend a small fortune on high tech toys and expensive gifts for their children, when in reality, a simple stick and ball or a Cheap Tire Swing would probably provide just as much if not more enjoyment. Plus it gives them an excuse to get out of the house and play in the sunshine.

Buy Playground Equipment online and save big
Why Buy Playground Equipment from Swingset.com? Because you will get the highest quality equipment available at an unbelievable value! With a little imagination, you can turn an empty lot, a desolate sand box, or a yard full of weeds into a wonderland for children to play, learn and grow. Merry go rounds, swing sets, slides, tire swings you name it and kids love to play on these fun pieces of play equipment and they never get tired of them. In the age of technology and information, so many young people are glued to the television sets and the computer monitors playing video games and subjecting themselves to hours upon hours of mindless entertainment. Each year we hear about the staggering number of obese and out of shape youngsters that do not get enough exercise and eat nothing but junk food. It is time for parents and adults at large to take on a more proactive role in the physical education of today’s youth. And believe it or not, it starts in preschool and even before that, in the sand box.
The best thing you can do to prevent having overweight and socially inept children is to Buy Playground Equipment. Combining fun and excitement with exercise and coordination, children than are exposed to playground equipment at an early age will not be left behind when it comes time to join other children at school and daycare. A see saw teachers teamwork, for example, and so does a swing set (especially when one or more of the kids needs to be pushed). A jungle gym helps to unlock the imagination within all young children as they pretend to be pirates and keep off the sand that they imagine is hot lava. A few metal monkey bars can be transformed into an intergalactic space ship. The benefits and advantages you give your children when you Buy Playground Equipment far exceed the price you pay.
