Beware of overcrowded daycare centers
It has been said that it takes a village to raise a child but in today’s modern American society where two incomes are required to make ends meet and the ideal family unit is comprised of a mother, father and two kids, this notion is often lost. As young adults we are in such a rush to get out of the house and move away from our parents, not realizing that later on in life, they will be the ones that we call on for help taking care of our children (their grandchildren), help with finances and so on.
Too often working parents will leave their young children in the care of overcrowded and under qualified child care facilities because they need to go to work. It is understandable that one has to make a living, but not at the expense of quality care for your children. Recently there have been families that have received national attention for having huge additions to their family. Twins, sextuplets, octuplets and the list goes on. Unless you are a freak of nature, chances are you’ve only got two arms, so how does one care for so many young children? It is crucial to have a reliable network of family, friends and church members that can assist in taking care of the children. Without such a support group, it is nearly impossible to get anything done in a day.
If you are in a position where you have to rely on outside childcare, be sure that they are an accredited institution and that all their employees are certified and properly trained. It is also a good idea to inspect all of their Daycare Supplies to ensure they are in good condition and good working order. That way you can feel comfortable knowing that your children are in a clean and safe environment while you are out making a living.
